Towards
winter I noticed that the hair in the recipient area started gaining density
and the previously balding patch was covered with even layer of new hair.
What
definitely was convincing is seeing friends and family over Christmas. Since
they have not seen me for a while they were very quick to notice the change in
my appearance, for the good of course.
After 6 months I went for another
checkup. I wanted to ask about the remaining numbness; although the area where
I felt it was getting smaller I was a bit worried that it takes so long. The
doctor said it was absolutely normal and will take another couple of weeks to
completely go back to normal. I also asked about one front side, where the hair
was transplanted, that I saw was a little bit uneven. I was assured, that we
should wait till one year passes as till then the recipient area will be
developing new hair. Only then I was told the final assessment will be made and
eventual corrections agreed. All in all half a year after the procedure I feel
it was worth it!
